Elon Musk: TruthGPT vs. ChatGPT

Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, says he is building an artificial intelligence model to compete with ChatGPT, which is backed by Microsoft and other private interests. OpenAI was originally founded to provide an open source AI model, but has effectively been taken over and controlled by Microsoft.

OpenAI was created as an open source (which is why I named it “Open” AI), non-profit company to serve as a counterweight to Google, but now it has become a closed source, maximum-profit company effectively controlled by Microsoft.

Musk helped to found OpenAI, but has since walked away from the project after his bid to take it over was rejected. Since that time, Musk has been critical of OpenAI and ChatGPT for training the model to lie, and misrepresent data.

In February, ChatGPT apparently refused to create a poem about Donald Trump but had to issues with writing one about Joe Biden. Musk pointed out that such a built in bias “is a serious concern.”

Other criticisms of ChatGPT have included hallucinations, inability to understand context, inaccurate responses and limitations on the length of content.
