ChatGPT is a conversational AI app that lets you chat with various personalities and topics. If you are not satisfied with the app, you may want to get a refund for your subscription. Here is a guide on how to get a ChatGPT refund, depending on where you live and when you subscribed.
If you live in the EU, UK, or Turkey, you are eligible for a refund if you cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase. To do this, you need to send a message to OpenAI customer support team via their chat widget in the bottom right of their Help Center.
Select the “Billing” option and then select “I need a refund”.
You will need to provide your email address, subscription start date, and any other relevant information. The support team will process your request as soon as possible.
If you live in any other country, or if you subscribed more than 14 days ago, you are not eligible for a refund. ChatGPT does not refund the subscription fees after the initial 14-day period. However, you can still cancel your subscription and prevent it from auto-renewing.
To do this, you need to click “My Account” in the sidebar of the app.
Then click “Manage my subscription” in the pop-up window.
You will be directed to a Stripe checkout page where you can select “Cancel Plan”. Your cancellation will take effect the day after the next billing date. You can continue using the app until then.
