LoFi Moon Girls is a small Youtube channel that creates chill beat mixes and LoFi music playlists with subtle animations in its videos. We spoke with the content creator and how he uses AI tools to create the art and speed up his process.
Is Davinci AI Art Real Art?
The artist and promoter behind the Lofi Moon Girl Youtube Channel, David Zander, started the channel for his love of music, but was disappointed with the lack of creativity in the space. Lofi music is one of the top music niches on YouTube with some channels having 10s of millions of followers and raking in $20k in ad revenues per month.
Almost none of the channels highlight the musicians, and few have exciting promotions and giveaways. “I wanted to create a new type of channel that has exciting giveaways (think Mr. Beast with 240 million subscribers), as well as more interesting and informative videos.
David uses Leonardo.ai to make some of the art for the channel.
“The quality of AI art has improved significantly, and using Leonardo.ai makes things go very fast. I can iterate and come up with dozens of designs in a variety of styles very quickly,” he said.
Not everything seems to work, and there are artifacts and mistakes that happen. But overall, I enjoy using the tools, and my listeners like the art.
How LoFi Moon Girls Grows its Channel
Although, people usually listen to LoFi music to relax, or to focus while studying, David thinks there is room for more style and personality in the space. The Lofi Moon Girls plans to promote the channel with exciting giveaways that include cash, schway and prizes as well.
